DAYDREAMS

Today I am just going to post a little poem that I wrote some time ago. I hope you enjoy.

                                                  Daydreams
I see you from a far.
I don't invade your space.
I stay back because that is safe and proper.

Kisses on my cheek and blushes fill my daydream filled head.
You take my hand, your hand feels warm and smooth.
My hands are cold.

I let you lead me, hesitantly, to where I do not know.
Words can't be found to ask where.
People stare and wonder.
I flush with embarrassment.

I have no right to dare or have.
Your warm smooth hand lets go of mine.
My hands are cold.
You are far away now.
There was no destination.
The people turn away and ignore.
I'm all alone in my daydream filled head.

YOU'RE THERE - SOMEWHERE

                                                   You're There - Somewhere

I look beyond your wintry world to find a glimpse of you.
Your eyes are as black as the black marks on the trees.
The clear chill in the air is your breath on my skin. I let it seep beneath my
                     pores.
I try in my mind to entice you out and for a moment I can see you in front of me-
looking down at me with those black eyes.
I don't dare open my eyes not if I want to hang on to you.
I hear a rustle of dried leaves on the trees. It's like you've whispered something in
                      my ear.
I try to touch your face and it's like touching fresh snow. I can't help it-I open my eyes.
For a fleeting moment-we really are face to face but then you made me blink.
My eyes search through the trees but you are gone. The wind stirs the snow around my
                      feet.
I bend down and pick up a frosted white rose. It sparkles in the sun. I'm careful with it.
Sharp thorns as clear as ice warn me about you.
But you know I will look for you again because I know you're there-always.
Your cold wraps around me protectively.
My cheeks are red from your kisses.
                       Until next time my love.

PRETTY THINGS

Hi everyone. This time I've posted a drawing that I did maybe a couple of years ago, I'm not sure. I was looking through my sketch book when I came across it and thought maybe I saw a story. I do love fairies and would like to draw more of them. I hope you enjoy.

                                    Pretty Things

I was walking in my garden when I thought I saw something out of the corner of my eye. There was some sort of activity going on in amongst the daisies.
I kept quiet and slowly tip toed my way over. What ever it was, was small and there were two of them.
They were too busy with each other to notice me.
The colourful wings made my eyes go wide-purple mixed in with yellow accented with dark brown spots that looked like eyes glimmered in the morning sun.
What I could make out the little faerie was collecting daisy petals and the butterfly bird wanted to perch on the daisies. I don't know why they disagreed as there were plenty of daisies to share, perhaps there was more to this.
As I watched I felt like I was eavesdropping. The butterfly bird seemed he wanted the attention of the little faerie. I could feel magic between them. She tried to shew it away but the little butterfly bird hovered near her with it's beautiful azure blue and green wings like it was lovestruck.
Then it dawned on me-maybe this was her love but something happened.
Maybe she changed him into a butterfly bird.
I slowly backed up and hoped that the next time I saw them that she had changed him back.

MORE TO READ

Another story for you all to read. I hope you enjoy.

                                                            Finding You

You were along ways off.
Then you disappeared and I didn't think I would ever see you again.
My friend said to forget you, that there were others.
Still as I walked along the road I kept my eye out for anything that might resemble you.
Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I saw something red-I blinked.
I walked faster and for a moment you stood in the middle and looked down the road but it seemed you were looking beyond me.
I stopped-turned.
I didn't see anything.
When I turned back to you, you had disappeared-perhaps forever.
