DOUBLE TAKE

This is fun photo my daughter found on the Internet. How cool is that?

                                                     Double Take
When he came into our house he said nothing. He took ownership of the my chair and that was that.
You could tell sometimes that he was hiding something just by the way he looked at us.
He always sat facing us never showing his back to us like he maybe didn't trust us.
But one day I went into the living room to my favourite chair. This was not his nap time.
I did get quite a surprise. Not only was he there on my chair but there appeared to be another one curled up with him.
I was about to ask my daughter when she  brought another one home when he stretched out and the "other cat" seemed to follow the exact movement.
Then he rolled on his back "laying" on the other cat. I was about to go over and rescue the "other cat" when his eyes flew open. I stopped in my tracks and we just stared at each other.
This is when I discovered his secret-  he had a conjoined twin.

ELIZABETH

                                              Elizabeth

You were the queen of of your domain, no one disputed that.
Others went around you because they hadn't "earned" their way into your territory.
When you spoke the others listened and came running, they knew what that "mew" meant.
Of course your were served first because that's how it was.

You always kept a strong hold on your domain even till the bitter end.
If your strength could be measured it would be endless in depth and to the sky.
You will never be forgotten, that's how strong your presence was.
Your name certainly represented you well.
Long live the Queen!

The Watchers

                                                    The Watchers
The first one comes and nothing. Everything is okay it seems with the world. Then something happens.
We know what has caught the attention of the first watcher.
The tail switches and this seems to be a signal for the other watchers to join.
There is a flutter here and another flutter there. It becomes an intense moment. Anything could happen it seems.
They keep close eye. One might dare to come close.
They take their watcher job quite seriously, you never know when action might strike.
But alas it is nothing but a tease on the other side and soon the watchers who don't want to be known that they were had lay quite slowly shutting their eyes. We're pretending is what they seem to be saying.
Their day will come the watchers say.
